GLENN MURCUTT, ARCHITECT
The Glenn Murcutt, Architect folio took over five years to produce and is based on early twentieth-century art and architecture folios which due to their quality, size, and exclusivity, are highly prized by collectors.
Printed entirely on archival paper, hand-bound, each folio is individually numbered. The edition is limited to 1,000 copies.
184 pages CASEBOUND BOOK, by Kenneth Frampton and essays by Juhani Pallasmaa, David Malouf, Phil Harris and Liisa Naar.
For this book, Frampton joined Murcutt on a tour of his houses; at various junctures of Frampton's insightful text the reader can branch out to one of the eight folders for an in-depth exploration of each of these milestone buildings. Pallasmaa and Malouf take a more philosophical and poetic view of Murcutt's work, whilst Harris joins Murcutt in Rome for the Pritzker Prize presentation, and Naar provides a client-perspective for one of Murcutt's best known houses.
